Job Purpose

Please note, this is a position for current university students only. This is a summer term spanning May through August.

In this role, you'll support the Customer Service team at Coghlan's by communicating with our retail customer accounts and assisting them through all aspects of their purchasing experience. Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, this role supports the daily functions of the organization, ensuring our customers' success.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create a welcoming environment in person, over the phone, and through email
  • Answer inbound calls and customer inquiries
  • Process customer invoices, orders, and approve freight bills
  • Complete data entry, maintaining organized customer records
  • Research solutions as required to troubleshoot customer issues
  • Recognize and identify possible issues and opportunities for improvement, and collaborate with the Customer Service team to correct

Job Specifications and Requirements

  • Available to work Monday through Friday, 8:30 am - 4:45 pm
  • Weel-developed interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Customer-centric and self-motivated problem solver
  • Sense of urgency to respond to customers promptly with accurate information
  • Ability to multi-task, and communicate professionally and effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Outlook, Word, and Sharepoint
  • Strong work ethic with the desire to excel in a professional role
  • Knowledge of EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) is considered an asset
