About the Role

We are seeking a creative and skilled Graphic Designer to join our Marketing team in Winnipeg. The ideal candidate will bring our newly refreshed visual identity and brand to life across all touchpoints, including product packaging, social media, email marketing, catalogs, sales presentations, and other print materials. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will play a crucial role in developing visual concepts that resonate with our target audience, enhance brand awareness, and drive consumer engagement.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to understand design requirements and deliver on-brand, creative solutions that meet business goals
  • Take ownership of our product packaging, including developing dieline prototypes, designing packaging artwork, and performing design QA to ensure brand consistency
  • Conceptualize and execute creative ideas for social media and email marketing
  • Support the annual marketing plan by developing marketing and sales collateral such as catalogs, sell sheets, and customer presentations
  • Perform expert-level photo editing and touch-ups to ensure high-quality visuals across all marketing materials and packaging
  • Manage design projects through the use of briefs and project management tools
  • Act as a brand steward, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines and leading by example

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years of professional design experience, preferably in an agency setting
  • Degree in Graphic Design or Creative Communications
  • Exceptional eye for aesthetics and up to date with current design trends and techniques
  • Ability to understand marketing objectives, and support business goals of a consumer-packaged goods brand
  • A portfolio that demonstrates your design abilities, specifically with typography, layout development, packaging or print applications, illustrations, and brand identity
  • Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom)
  • Interest and knowledge in the latest design and social media trends
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and independently
  • Strong project management skills, highly organized, and ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Self-starter, highly motivated individual with a willingness to grow in a consumer-packaged goods brand
  • Product photography is considered an asset
  • A passion for camping, outdoor recreation is considered a strong asset
  • Work in the Winnipeg office Monday - Thursday, with an option to work from home on Friday
